The Dallas Camera Club and Canon are returning sponsors of the 2010 free photography workshop that will be held at the Trinity River Audubon Center. Canon will lead the program with equipment and photography tips and techniques for beginners, intermediate and pro photographers. Jerry Ward travels throughout America and speaks on how to take great pictures.

There are a maximum of 100 seats for the workshop, click here to register. It will be held on July 15, 2010 at the Trinity River Audubon Center, 6500 S. Loop 12, Dallas, TX 75217, and this date is the 3rd Thursday Free at the Audubon Center. Both the center's admission and the workshop are free to participants.

iverbend picnic site, overlooking the Trinity River! 

Evening activities include night hikes, animal encounters, kids’ crafts, amphibian watch,
and-- starting 7:30p.m.-- we’ll participate in “Swifts’ Night Out” where we monitor our chimney swift tower.

Saturday, May 22nd from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Trinity River
Audubon Center 6500 S. Loop 12 Dallas, TX 75217:

• families can register;
• preview participating parks and recreation areas;
• learn more about the challenge;
• and complete your first Mission!

You have 11 weeks to visit as many participating parks and nature
areas in North Central Texas as you can! You will view native wildlife,
dip your feet in creeks, rivers, and draw and write about your
observations while learning more about nature and science in your
neighborhood! At each site you will complete activities designed for f
amily fun and nature exploration provided in English and Spanish.

All scrapbooks, and photo contest entries will be due to the Texas
AgriLife Extension Service Urban Solutions Center (17360 Coit Rd.
Dallas, TX 75098) by 5pm on August 7, 2010. Participation prizes will
be awarded at the closing ceremonies for most sites visited, best
scrapbook, best photo, and more on Saturday, August 14th from
10:00a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at River Legacy Living Science Center 703 NW
Green Oaks Blvd. Arlington, TX 76006.
